Ridgeback Wines is situated in Noord Agter Paarl surrounded by the rugged magnificence of the Paarl Mountains. The farm extends over an area of 65 hectares. Every effort has been made to retain the rich heritage of the countryside maintaining the Proteas and fynbos which flourish in the region.. The winery, overlooking a small dam, has an abundance of water fowl which blend into the countryside and creates a restful ambience.

Located in the tranquil gardens overlooking a dam populated with a range of exotic waterfowl, you will find the tasting room and restaurant called The Deck.  After a wine tasting one can enjoy a light meal from our small range of freshly made home-style cooking.  Children can buy a small pack of food to feed the birds and try to spot the very shy rabbits in the garden.

The setting is fantastic and soon lulls you into a relaxing and enjoyable frame of mind.

Harvest at Laborie, is the canvas upon which internationally acclaimed chef Matthew Gordon renders his culinary art. The menu is contemporary South African with ingredients sourced locally that include a special menu for Children. Free range and organic Karoo lamb, beef and fresh line fish are regular features on the menu, while herbs and vegetables are harvested from the restaurant’s own garden. All of these components are cleverly combined to deliver a supreme dining experience hallmarked by depth of flavour and superb presentation.

During the summer months or on sunny winter days the children can play outside on the lawn and test the acrobatic skills on the jungle gym.

Nederburg presents the bistro-style restaurant, The Red Table, created in collaboration with well-known Cape Town foodie, Andrea Foulkes. It offers locally-sourced fresh, light bistro-style food in a comfortable, relaxed and gesellige atmosphere.

This novel restaurant meanders through the iconic Nederburg manor house, a national monument, and spills out onto the terrace and sprawling gardens against the backdrop of vineyards and the towering Drakenstein mountains.
