FABER Christmas Day Lunch

Celebrate Christmas Day with the whole family at FABER restaurant with a special family style sharing Christmas lunch on Wednesday, 25th December.
We are offering a sharing set 3 course menu, which will include an arrival drink, breadboard, 2 starters, 1 main course accompanied with 2 sides and dessert to finish off.
As our menu is fresh and seasonal, the menu has not yet been finalized. Menu items to be expected include, pumpkin fritters, cured Saldanha Bay trout, veal tongue, roasted lamb shoulder, minted potatoes and berry trifle.
Cost per adult is R770 and R150 for children under 12 yrs.

Viande Christmas Lunch

The price is R1 000 per person.  Children aged between 4 – 10 years of age will be charged 50% and will be able to order what they want from the special menu.

Should you wish to make a reservation, we kindly request that you make use of the Dineplan calendar by clicking on http://granderoche.com/viande/ .  This is a quick and easy way of making restaurant reservations, however, should you encounter any difficulties, please do not hesitate to contact me. Full prepayment will also be requested via Dineplan.

From October onwards this chef’s kitchens – one situated in the beautiful Cathedral Cellar in Paarl, and the other in his Monet-like kitchen attic at his home in Stasie Street – become a hive of activity as festive preparations take shape. From the baking of Mynhardt’s famous festive fruit cakes to testing the menus for his festive tables, the smells emitted from these kitchens set the tone for exceptional dining experiences.

This year, Chef Mynhardt hosts two long table events: On 18, 19, 20 and 21 December guests are invited to dine in the food magician’s very own Paarl kitchen, Stasie Street Kitchen, for a rare glimpse into Chef Mynhardt’s personal milieu where meals are inspired by his childhood memories and travels around the world. The second instalment of 2019’s Festive Tables takes place at Chef Mynhardt’s second home, KWV’s iconic and sought-after Cathedral Cellar Kitchen in Paarl, on 24 and 25 December. Here, 80 guests per sitting will indulge in Chef Mynhardt’s bespoke food creations while admiring some of the biggest hand-carved wine vats in the world.
