Boland Cellar has evolved into a truly dynamic and progressive cellar, and has progressed from being a supplier of bulk wine to large wholesalers, to a purveyor of fine wines competing on the global market under its own brand names. Fairview Wine and Cheese estate is one of the most visited attractions in the Cape winelands, with the Goat Tower having become the farms most identifiable symbol and aspect of their brand. This iconic Paarl winery offers an exciting and wide range of award-winning wines, a lovely bistro-style restaurant – The Manor Restaurant – historic buildings, contemporary tasting facilities, a museum showcasing items associated with Nederburg’s illustrious history, beautiful gardens and glorious views of the majestic Drakenstein mountains. Nederburg’s current cellarmaster, Razvan Macici, appointed in 2001, and his team have advanced the prize-winning legacy on local and international platforms.
Situated on the northern slopes of the Paarl mountain, Windmeul Cellar used to be one of Paarl’s best kept secrets but the now well-known cellar stands proud with several impressive accolades under their belt. Windmeul offers excellent wine tasting, function and special event facilities, with traditional country warmth and hospitality. A not to be missed event is the monthly Windmeul Farmers market which offers patrons a vast array of delectable fresh goods such as breads, meat, vegetables and much more.
